Amnesia Later (アムネシアLATER)

This is the fandisc of the first Amnesia. It is divided into 5 worlds which I will explain later. I won’t be giving summaries for each one since it’s short that I mind end up spoiling the game. I’ll just state what is it all about and my impression on them.

The system is almost the same as the first. Almost because Later doesn’t have the parameter requirements. I liked the tiny parts that they’ve added like faces of the guys in the start. They have also added an album for the gallery, movie, background music, and profile of the guys.

When you start the game, the only route open is the New World. After you finished all the routes in NW, After World, Waka’s World, and Girls’ Party will eventually open. Each route is really short, like, you can finish 3-5 routes within 1 hour.

NEW WORLD

The heroine is in a new world (hence the title) but still with amnesia. This time it is a world where there are no bitchy fangirls, murderous intents etc. Of course, Orion is still there to give her a rundown of the names of the characters you meet. Each and every one of them loooves her. So much that they are doting on her. lol

One day, she suddenly remembers that she promises to see fireflies with someone this year. However, she couldn’t remember who that person is. The next day, her co-workers in Meido no Hitsuji decide to see fireflies together after seeing Ukyou’s pictures of fireflies he took in the area where he sleeps. Orion suggests to the heroine that she should go. She might remember who that person in her memory.

Orion is still here~ (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧. Yes that’s a big factor for me. This world feels good after all that killing spree in Ukyou’s route in the first Amnesia (I did this right after that one). But it also feels weird to have a nice Rika around. I can’t shake the feeling that she is still up to something.

Once you’re in the area, you get to choose whom to talk to. If you choose any of the girls or Waka, you’ll be engaged to short conversations with them. This will open Girls’ Party and Waka’s World. If you choose any of the guys, you’ll go somewhere with them and have some moments together. Since I’m Kent and Ikki-biased, I enjoyed their parts the most. (๑¯◡¯๑)

ANOTHER WORLD

Another World is a continuation of the good ends of the guys’ routes in the first Amnesia. They are events in which the lovers strengthen their love and deepen their bond to each other.

Shin

Well, I heard a lot from other people who have played this game that Shin’s route is the worst. But I still started with him simply because I want to do the routes the sequence I played it in the first game. I expected it to be bad but not this bad. 😐

I don’t know what could have gotten into the head of that dead-fish-eyed heroine to act like that. Shin does not deserve that kind of route. ヾ(｡｀Д´｡)ﾉ Poor Shin. I really feel bad for him for having a girlfriend like her. (-̩-̩__-̩-̩)

Toma

By this time, my motivation to play this game is really low because of Shin’s route. So when I did Toma’s, I am pretty much skipping most of the dialogues. It also doesn’t help that the heroine takes the initiative in this one, for instance, kissing Toma’s hand. What. the. hell. She isn’t anywhere like that with Shin!

While playing this route, I kinda started to like Toma which is weird lol. The cage still gives me the creeps though (Why does he still have it anyway?). I’m sorry Toma for skipping your route but I’m already on the verge of dropping this game. DX

Kent

He is precious as ever (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧. One thing that I’ve realized in this game is that Kent becomes a real gem when you’re during his route because he shows you his sides that he doesn’t normally show. For instance, his smiling face, his softened expressions, his sweet and caring actions (ღˇ◡ˇ)~♥. Even his tone changes. Not just the way he speaks, but also his voice really changes when talking to the heroine compared to others, say Sawa. I can’t fully explain what I mean but you get it, right? Right.

Ikki

Ikkiiiiiiiiiiiiiii ♡♥(。´▽`。)♥♡. Is as sexy as ever (did I just change the adjective? lol). He can be cheesy at times but he is still oh-so-adorable. He treasures her very much. I keep going ♡♥(。´▽`。)♥♡ in this route. He is really tempting ahaha. Sadly, the heroine isn’t as proactive as she is in Toma’s route. But at least not as derpy as she is in Shin’s.

These two routes saved this game for me. I am more than ready to give this up after Shin but luckily I didn’t. If I did, I would probably regret it a bit for missing Kent and Ikki’s routes (and later Orion). Did I mention that I like Ikki and Kent’s friendship? Despite being opposites, they do care for each other. Their interactions are so amusing. You’ll see how well they go along with each one of them. They will do things that can help the other one in need.

Ukyou

His route is so-so. While I’m glad they have resolved their issues, I feel like they don’t progress much in their relationship. Not to mention the ending is quite anti-climactic. Meh. So much for the OTP.

For the next 2, uh, worlds (??), it’ll be brief since I played it as if I am listening to some drama CD. Meaning I just listened and do other things. If it isn’t a requirement to finish them to unlock Orion’s route, I would love to skip these two.

WAKA’S WORLD

This is divided into 4 different worlds with 4 different types of Waka. Each corresponding to his personalities in a different world in the first Amnesia. There are some moments with Waka in each one. Nothing notable, sadly.

GIRLS’ PARTY

This is like the continuation of your chat in the New World. Each girl has 2 profiles of guys assigned on them, for example, you can ask Mine for Waka and Shin’s profiles. You get to discuss these guys to them. This will basically open the profile section in the Gallery.

Aaaaand finally Orion’s route! ☆*:.｡. o(≧▽≦)o .｡.:*☆

Orion

This follows Ukyou’s good end but the events in Ukyou’s route in the FD does not occur here. Ukyou goes to some country for work so the heroine is left behind for three weeks. During that time, she feels like she is forgetting something important. She feels as if she is with someone last summer. While trying to think about what she’s missing, she meets an adorable kid who tries to avoid her as much as he could. She accidentally learns that he is living in the same building as her with his Ni…Nii-chan lol. From there, they pretty much become friends while still trying to recover her lost memories.

Orion~ you precious precious baby (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧.
I’m so glad that they make a proper route (unlike Waka). Amnesia wouldn’t feel complete without him. To have his route as the last one is very fitting. I cry happy tears for him because it’s too heart-warming.

Art and Music

There are some recycled CGs too =.=. But I liked how there is a close up still. ʘ‿ʘ
Oh but I love the op song Later. It’s sweet and calm in contrast to the rock-ish song they had in Amnesia.

Overall

This FD is quite a disappointment. Out of all the worlds/routes here, I’ve only enjoyed Kent, Ikki, and Orion’s route. They are the only worth playing routes. The others can be done through multi-tasking.

In terms of romance…not much. There are some cute moments but that’s it. So I can’t recommend this to anyone unless you really want to see Ikki seduces you or Orion being really charming.

Now about that incoming Amnesia game next year, I’m not sure if I’ll be playing it. I’m tired of Amnesia actually. If they’ll put more Ikki or adult!Orion, that might change my mind. о(ж＞▽＜)ｙ ☆
