[Scribbles] It’s August 1st a.k.a 801 (Yaoi) no Hi! Woot!

Happy Yaoi no Hi!

Happy Yaoi no Hi!

There’s this latest craze in our workplace where people are playing a Facebook Messenger game called Everwing. With this game readily available through Messenger, our chatroom consists of our latest Everwing adventures instead of talking. www

Zantei Boyfriend is my first Takasaki Bosco manga I ever read, and the cover instantly caught my eye. The whole “pheromone” premise reminds me of Gakuen Alice, though.

I wondered what’s with all the hype in this game and now I know why. I walked in completely clueless about it and walked out full of despair. But I did not regret it. I wanted to learn more about the mansion, the characters, everything and felt frustrated when the other characters won’t even say anything to Beniyuri. But when the truth came out, I was bawling and was like “my babies T_____T, please be happy. All of you.”
I TRIED TO KEEP THIS SPOILER-FREE BUT FAILED. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

Watashi no Shounen tops this year’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi list. The guidebook is released yearly, containing the top manga series. What made me curious about Watashi no Shounen is the fact that the title says “shounen” but the cover looks like a girl?? It turns out, this beautiful kid is indeed a boy.

Wouldn’t it excite you to see a side of someone you’ve never seen before? This happens to Jun when he sees his best friend’s make out face, in contrast to his usual serious look. He then starts seducing his best friend Aki, oblivious to the other’s feelings.

I enjoyed Okubyou mono ni I love you a lot, so I decided to read Sakura Rico’s other manga, Darenimo Naisho de. Also included in this book is the story Fukigen My Lover. It’s a two-chapter sequel of Sakura Rico’s other work, Ijiwaru My Lover.

Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii is the manga I didn’t know I needed in my life.

I started reading this thinking it will be another porn without plot manga. And boy, was I wrong – I walked out drowning in the sea of feels.

Otomate
Code:Realize ~Shukufuku no Mirai~ explores all the possible scenarios it can squeeze out of its setting. Otomate decides that this game is a cross between a fan disk (FD), a sequel, and a spin-off. But they promote it as a fan disk, so my expectations are that of an FD – fun, light, and full of lovey-dovey moments. It seems like Otomate’s idea of FD is different than mine because I certainly don’t think FDs should contain even more heartbreaks than the first game.
