In the hopes of finding her father, Chizuru goes to Kyoto to search for him. Instead, she finds the Shinsengumi. Shinsengumi members are a bunch of guys who protect the city but is also feared by the people. However, these guys are searching for her father as well. So together, they search for Chizuru’s father while she stays with them.
I was really hesitant to play this game since I felt like there was so much to catch up on, what’s with the long line of Hakuoki titles. Even with the two new titles, it was hard for me to know what was the difference between Kyoto Winds and Edo Blossoms. But my curiosity won and I’m so glad I played the game.
Now we are down at the last three guys in the game. These three are all newly added characters. We’ll see if their routes are worth playing after all.

At first glance, I thought I randomly grouped this three together because there’s no other grouping for them lol. But in a closer look, these three are somewhat similar to each other. They all have this difficult to approach aura. Yes. Even the seemingly kind Sanan. So let’s start with him!

Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds contains 12 guys that you can go after. This is probably the only game that I’ve played that has that much character in it. Thank goodness, you can only play half of their routes in this game (the story continues in Edo Blossoms). Somehow, I can understand why Otomate decided to split the story in half – and it’s not just about money (maaaaaaybe about 5% is not about it www). Imagine playing 12 full routes. It’ll take me half a year to finish it lol.
But still, cutting the story just when things are finally picking up in each route? WHATщ(ﾟДﾟщ)
