I’ve caught up with Mo Xiang Tong Xiu’s works! Woot!

I’m done reading the MTL and now, I’ve also caught up to the recently translated chapters of all three novels. That includes the extras as well. In case you’re wondering why I’m still following the translations, it’s because I feel like I’ve missed a lot of finer details (and names!) in MTL.

While SV was a little easier to read via MTL (mainly because I only have to read a couple more chapters before the end), MDZS and TGCF were downright difficult. I know I’ve mentioned this before, but the names screwed me up every single time.

If you have the time or suffering from withdrawal symptoms like me, you could check out Yume-chan’s fan song translation posts. The songs are wonderful and the PVs… my gosh, the PVs! They are freaking amazing! Some videos are just… wow.

Honestly? I didn’t really like this when I read the first chapter for the first time. It was just an overview, a tl;dr of Xie Lian’s background. But I thought that maybe, I was too tired and at the same time, occupied by other novels.

I got too curious.

Seeing a flood of The Founder of Diabolism (let me call it MDZS for the rest of the post) tweets on my Twitter timeline piqued my curiosity. I didn’t understand what it was and even after poking around the internet, it looked like something I wouldn’t be interested (ha!) so I ignored it. But since I was drowning in feels after reading Grabbing your hand, dragging you away novel, I needed a filler. So I somehow found my way to MDZS again.

I have fallen in love with a novel.

As my first foray into Chinese novels, I randomly picked up Grabbing Your Hand, Dragging You Away. The synopsis is just so intriguing I couldn’t resist. I considered other novels but my mind continued to wander on this title until I finally gave in.
