Happy Easter everyone!
I really wanted to share this news but I was fasting for the Lenten Season so nope. /o\
So this week, I came across a couple of news about Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side 4! I was so shook! Imagine, it’s been years, YEARS, back in the good old days of PSP, since the last time Konami released anything about TMGS (I’m not counting the Tokimeki Restaurant).
But here we are in 2019 with TMGS 4 set to release in 2020! Yassss.
Let’s hope right in for the TMGS news!
So here are the TMGS 4 tidbits.
The protagonist works part-time at Habataki Watcher. Like all the other bambis in the previous games, she looks the same as them, sporting a short pink hair.
Here are the guys!
Kazama Ryouta (風真玲太)
Seiyuu: Kaji Yuuki (梶 裕貴)
Born in September
Height: 178cm
Blood Type: A
Kazama Ryouta is the new prince of the game with his amiable and charismatic personality. He is Bambi’s childhood friend who has been in love with her since forever.
I’m looking forward to him! More than his princely appearance, Kazama seems like fun character, what’s with him being able to confess his feelings right then and there… and gets ignored by Bambi lol. He is different from the other princes we had in the first 3 games.
Sassa Nozomu (颯砂 希)
Seiyuu: Satou Takuya (佐藤拓也)
Born in June
Height: 182cm
Blood Type: B
Sassa Nozomu is the game’s resident athlete as he participates in decathlons in their Track & Field club.
I am excited about this character mainly because he is going to be voiced by Satou Takuya lol. But I loved the mention of Hanegasaki seaside as the location of his training. It reminds me of Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side 2. And I also love the nice twist in the usual athletic characters as being sports baka, because Sassa’s also logical in the way he pursues his dreams.
Nanatsumori Minoru (七ツ森 実)
Seiyuu: Azakami Youhei (阿座上洋平)
Born in February
Height: 185cm
Blood Type: A
Also known as Nana. He works as a fashion model. In fact, he is Hazuki Kei’s (TMGS 1 prince) kouhai. He has a lot of other hobbies as well, such as cosplaying and streaming.
He looks…flashy lmao. I wonder if Kei-chan will have a cameo in this game?? But Nana really seems like the eccentric character here.
Hiiragi Yanosuke (柊 夜ノ介)
Seiyuu: Fukuyama Jun (福山 潤)
Born in December
Height: 177cm
Blood Type: AB
He’s the leader of Gekidan Habataki. While he is taking care of the business side of the theatre group, he is also an actor who can be the main character or the female lead.
Hiiragi Yanosuke gives me Yunoki vibes (from Kin’iro no Corda 1). Not really my type of character but FukuJun will voice him so that pretty much seals the deal.
Honda Iku (本多 行)
Seiyuu: Sonosuke Hattori (服部想之介)
Born in January
Height: 173cm
Blood Type: O
Honda Iku is also known as the Quiz King after winning in the preliminaries of Quiz!! Brain Interhigh competition. He has a penchant for learning and a passion for teaching.
Honda seems like the resident shota character who does cutesy things. But I did not expect him to be the brainy one.
There you have it! That’s the five main guys for Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side 4. What do you think? I think, character-wise, they are pretty interesting. The art’s pretty so-so, but this is still the initial art, I hope, so there’s still a lot of room for improvement.
In terms of the number of characters, it’s not a lot compared to the previous ones. But I’m guessing there’ll be more hidden characters just like before.
Oh, and I forgot to mention above that Gorou is back, perhaps to give Bambi fashion advice once more?
The biggest mystery of the game is its platform. Konami hasn’t announced it yet on the event. But based on the remaining platforms in the market and the landscape size of the slides (lololol you can see the desperation), I’m hoping and praying that it will be released on Nintendo Switch.
