Summary from Renta!:

Keiji has the special ability to see red strings of fate…threads that connect when two people are meant to spend the rest of their lives together. One day, he looks down at his hand and sees that his string has finally connected to someone!! But when Keiji finds the person on the other end, he realizes it’s… a guy!!!

Story

Positive ♡(。- ω -)

This is super cute! Like super duper cute and fluffy story.

Keiji sees the red string of fate and realizes that his is connected to Hiroki, who is obviously a dude. Of course, Keiji tries to run away from the other guy but they keep on bumping into each other. It doesn’t help that Hiroki is such a ball of sunshine, with his radiant smile and puppy-like persona. So the story is more of them pushing and pulling each other while Keiji navigates around his feelings whether it is the string’s work or him falling in his own accord.

Negative ( ̄︿ ̄)

What I’m going to say isn’t really ‘negative’ but that kaomoji is so me when I read the part lol. So when they got together, things proceeded a little too quickly for me. Hiroki pushes down Keiji right away. Though, yes, they didn’t do the deed and instead settled with a mutual handjob, it just doesn’t feel like the patient and considerate Hiroki at all. To be fair, this thing has probably had to do with the limits of publishing, like the pages and all that. Still, it could have been handled better.

Neutral (¯ . ¯٥)

In this book, some people can see the red string of fate. Heck, there’s even a ‘specialist’ who helps people with string problems. This specialist even mentioned a ‘green’ string which makes me wonder what that is. The whole people-can-see-the-string thing is interesting. People who can see it, even more interesting. It’s such a shame that that subject isn’t expounded in the story.

Characters

Positive ♡(。- ω -)

I don’t know about you but Hiroki is one of the cutest, if not the cutest, seme I’ve ever seen. He is so cute and innocent, it hurts. He is also direct with his feelings, a complete opposite of Keiji. This directness translates even in bed which makes him a dangerous smooth-talker.

Keiji with his tsundere tendencies is pretty cute too. Though he is such a jerk at first when he is blatantly ignoring Hiroki.

Neutral (¯ . ¯٥)

There’s this guy, the one I mentioned above, who is an expert when it comes to strings of fate and his job is interesting. Too bad, he only has a very short exposure.

Art

Positive ♡(。- ω -)

I love the art especially Hiroki’s character design. He’s so so cute! Even the chibi versions are cute!

Also, I loved the simple and neatly lined panels. It makes the story easy to follow and the speech bubbles easy to read.

Negative ( ̄︿ ̄)

Though I have this small problem differentiating the characters, Keiji’s friends in particular. Keiji and one of his friends both have black hairs and almost parted the same way that I have to stare really hard to tell who’s who. As for the girls, they have this scene when they are bundled up in their jackets and then it is difficult to tell.

Good thing is aside from Keiji and Hiroki, the rest of the cast are side-characters that have small screen time so I didn’t have to focus on them that much.

Enjoyment (✯◡✯)

I love this so much! It has everything I need in my life — fluffy story, cute and fumbling couple, cute but hot in bed seme, and slight angst. I enjoyed this so much it balances out all the negative and neutral comments I have in this story.

Highlights

My favorite is the ‘breakup’ scene. I know, it’s kinda M of me, since it’s the part where both Hiroki and Keiji are hurting but that’s exactly why I like it. I think that’s the turning point for Keiji. He becomes aware of his feelings at that point. He realizes that he really has fallen in love right at the time when he got his heartbroken.
