I skimmed through this a few years back and swore that I would get back to this one day to relish at Takahiko and Aoi’s feels.
At the end of S volume 3, detective Masaki Shiiba was last seen running away from the hospital room of his injured S, Keigo Munechika. Now, Shiiba has turned in his resignation, bought a gun of his own, and is bent on only one mission — to kill Takanari Godou.
Shiiba’s instincts are telling him that Godou was the one who had killed his sister Yukari and is the person responsible for Munechika’s injury. Seriously, though, it’s really hard to get a copy of this book. If I haven’t already gotten the first 3 books, I would have opted for a digital copy. But I was dead set on completing my copy. After 48 years of waiting, June reprinted this. Thank goodness.

S volume 2 continues the drama and passion between a detective and his spy set in the hihgly-charged underground world of Tokyo.
So after how many years, I started reading the S series again. It’s been four years since I’ve read the first volume so I had to re-read book one first.
The Promised Neverland has been featured and reviewed a couple of times on the Manga Bookshelf. Those posts introduced me to this manga.
Everyone’s praising The Promised Neverland – which I find absurd. I mean, this manga, with a fairytale-ish title and fisheye-like view on the cover, couldn’t be that good, right?
Well, it is that good. It deserves all the praises it gets. So good, you should buy it. Now.
What is The Promised Neverland anyway?
Hold up. While I try my hardest to avoid any spoilers. I might, just a little bit, include one here and there. Be warned.
If someone were to ask me to describe Doukyuusei, I’d tell them that it feels like experiencing a breath of fresh air in the world of boys love. The kind that you’ll never get tired of going back to from time to time.
