Category: Adventure, Otome Game
Release Date: October 31, 2018
Summary from the Nintendo page:
Flower shop clerk Honoka has been occupied with her work.
One night, when she visits the park that she normally goes to.
She’s been cursed by the odd-eyed black cat that she becomes a cat only at night.
There’s only one way to break the curse.
――To have a true love’s kiss.
In order to break the curse, she lives a double life as a human by day and cat by night……
Wow. I’m amazed by the amount of things included in this demo! I thought — expected even, that it would stop at the common route which in this case the prologue. But the creators are generous enough to give one chapter each guy which lasted for about 20 minutes each and also contains a CG. That’s plenty enough. 🤩
Story

Kitty Love has the fairytale-ish thing what’s with a true love’s kiss breaking a curse. I wonder though if it means kissing while a cat or as a human?
I love the simplicity of the storyline that it felt like I was playing a stress-free kind of game game because the plotline is pretty linear. Honoka just have to find her the one with a bit of magic sprinkled in the way. I’ve been playing complicated and heavy games that I forgot that VNs can be as simple as this too.
From what I’ve seen, I think the main strength of the game lies to the characters.

The prologue gives a nice introduction to all the main guys and how they interact with Honoka. What’s interesting to see is how different they interact with the cat Honoka. They all have a very different persona when it comes to animals, something they don’t show around human Honoka.
It is a pleasant surprise to have a sneak peek at each route and one chapter each too. There are 5 routes available and this is my play order Fujimoto -> Kyousuke -> Kouhei -> Takuma -> Saijo. I think if I ever get to play the full game, that will also be my play order. While all of them seem interesting, I’m most interested with Takuma and Saijo. Takuma because he gives off yandere vibes while Saijo seems like he is connected to the curse.
Art

The art is… okay-ish. It has that anime feel. It also uses light and vibrant colors that adds to the overall atmosphere of the game.
Enjoyment (✯◡✯)
I didn’t expect to say this… but I enjoyed it! It was an interesting way to spend 1 hour and 30 minutes of my life. I was prepared to be disappointed as I don’t usually play something like this but it was fun. Maybe I’ll consider playing the full game someday.
