Taishou Mebiusline - Shigure

When Shigure first appeared, I thought that he is a proud seme who looks down on other people not in his group. What I didn’t know is that he is a big kid at heart!

Kyouichirou meets Shigure when he visits his uni’s library while the other is being pursued by the military. In the middle of the commotion, Kyou got involved. More like, he involves himself www. He used his sword to break out the fight. Afterward, Shigure takes note of Kyou’s sword which surprises Kyou. Wanting to know more about his sword, Kyou tracks down Shigure and further involves himself with the Gohongatana group.

Being the head of Gohongatana, Shigure can also see the spirits as his group’s work deals with the dead. He carries 5 different swords with him, each sword serving a different purpose. How he manages to move around with them is beyond me www.

Shigure, while still quite young, is a good and strong leader. His storyline revolves around Gohongatana and the spirits. Now that I’m playing Tatebayashi’s route, it seems like Shigure’s route is more self-contained. It isn’t plot-heavy, only enough to ease me into the game so I’m glad that I made his my first route.

What made a big impression on me is his ichaicha moments with Kyou (●´∀`)ノ♡. I never would have guessed that they would be so sweet when they first met. Kyou asks Shigure to teach him some jutsu just in case and from there, they started getting closer to each other. And they are sooo good together!

Shigure’s not-so-subtle moves started piling up one by one. I think it started when Shigure treats Kyou as his BFF but clings to him in a more-than-friendly way. I thought, ‘hmm, there’s something about this two (๑→‿←๑).’ Shigure always calls out to Kyou to be beside him even on important meetings with the Gohongatana. I mean, Kyou is an unofficial member and they’ve only known each other for a few days. But Shigure acts as if they’ve been together since forever www. Then one time, Shigure is exhausted after a very long day and finds Kyou in his room, resting. Shigure decides to relax and lies down to – wait for it – Kyou’s lap. Kyou is like “isn’t it hard?” in a very soothing voice while Shigure’s all “Nah, not a problem.” The two is so chill on their setup that even when one of the guys named Omi comes in and notices about it, they just continue the whole thing. JUST LIKE THAT. With Shigure being, “I just want to have a higher pillow.” Yeah, right.

Shigure spoon-feeding Kyou because why not ♥(ノ´∀`)

And those two escalates www. Oh, I could list down all the things they do under the pretense of no homo but yeah, it’s easy to tell that they’re so gay for each other. There’s this one when they take a bath together and you know about the baths in Japan. Shigure notices how Kyou is skinny despite wielding a large sword. He CASUALLY fondl- I mean, feel the muscles on Shigure’s chest like hmm really, checking out the muscles you say. (¬‿¬)

My favorite is when Kyou got injured and Shigure nursed him back to health. The latter acts like a protective boyfriend, not letting Kyou out of his sight and takes good care of his friend. Like real good care, to the point where Shigure feeds Kyou and does all the simple things. The entire time Kyou is injured is just hilarious. Shigure used to say how Omi is a worrywart. But look at him being such a mother hen to Kyou.

What I love about all of this is how subtle everything is. You could still argue that these small improvements in their relationship are still part of their friendship. Yet these changes are incorporated as the story develops in a smooth way. I loved watching their relationship develops, along with their personalities and outlook in life.

Shigure has lots of ending (at least compared to Tatebayashi). There are about 11 endings with 2 Good Endings here, 1 Normal/Unrequited love ending (or so I’d like to call lol), and the rest are Bad Ends. Good End 1 is a pretty merry ride. Meanwhile, Good End 2 leans more on the angsty side. I love how it deals with both Kyou and Shigure’s insecurities. On the other hand, one of the bad ends may be connected to what happened to Yuuma in the Good End 2. Small things, I know but I still love how they connect to the bigger picture.

I never expected to love Shigure as a character and him being together with Kyou. I loved them so much it hurts to move on to other routes (but Misaki’s waiting so I have to push through ww). It’s hard to have good starting route because I don’t want to do the next ones and just stay in this one ww.

Also, I feared that once Kyou chooses another character, they’ll be at each other’s throats in no time. But thank goodness that is not the case, as seen in Tatebayashi’s route:

Shigure asks Kyou’s reason before judging the other. At least, even if they are not a couple, they could still be good friends/allies.

Shigure’s route made me love Taishou Mebiusline. While it only shows a glimpse of the bigger plot, it was enough to make me continue to play despite the difficult language.

Next one will be Tatebayashi’s route. (。’▽’。)♡
