So I took a break from Genshin Impact for about 2 years. When Fontaine was released, I came back, but I had so much backlog. I was still in the middle of Liyue Archon Quest and my characters needed levelling up. Some time last year, I managed to finally reach the latest nation (at the time). Too bad, Wuthering Waves was released, and then, my workmate introduced me to Honkai: Star Rail. Once again, I was distracted.
I’m coming back to finish the quest, now that I’ve caught up to the HSR main quest.
The part where the other characters laid a trap for Furina felt really icky. I sort of understand the need but that didn’t make the trick palatable. Meanwhile, I was ready to hate Focalors but how can I??? T_T Despite the self-sacrifice, I couldn’t get behind the whole thing she did to Furina. How can she and the rest be so near-sighted? They didn’t think beyond their desire. They only left heaps of problems for the future Fontainians.
Meanwhile, Childe fighting the narwhal is friggin cool!
Wriothesley is cool too when he appeared to save everyone in that mech boat of his. Actually, this quest made me appreciate the guy.
Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival Event
I love this event! Inazuma isn’t really my favorite nation as much as I’d like to want it. I think it’s the weakest and shortest storyline which is a shame. While I love Raiden (or should I call her Ei?) in combat, she’s my least favorite archon. Maybe because we didn’t get enough time to spend with her? To get to know her? So I’m happy to get events like this because it gives us opportunity to get to know her some more while also having with the festivities.
