The Promised Neverland has been featured and reviewed a couple of times on the Manga Bookshelf. Those posts introduced me to this manga.
Everyone’s praising The Promised Neverland – which I find absurd. I mean, this manga, with a fairytale-ish title and fisheye-like view on the cover, couldn’t be that good, right?
Well, it is that good. It deserves all the praises it gets. So good, you should buy it. Now.
What is The Promised Neverland anyway?
Hold up. While I try my hardest to avoid any spoilers. I might, just a little bit, include one here and there. Be warned.
If someone were to ask me to describe Doukyuusei, I’d tell them that it feels like experiencing a breath of fresh air in the world of boys love. The kind that you’ll never get tired of going back to from time to time.
As written on the cover of the book:
A boy met a boy.
They were in a flush of youth.
They were in love that felt like a dream,
Like a sparkling soda pop.
Majestic Majolical uses a vibrant palette that makes the game look enticing. It is hard to resist www.
The art caught my attention. I just love it. It makes me want to play the entire Majestic Majolical series even before I knew the story. Just look at the webpage, specifically at Lapis, who sat there on the sofa like a boss, and the guys flock around her. It looks as if everyone’s calling out for her attention.
I love it.
Anyway, onto the trial. It covers the prologue and the introduction of the story.
So Branching Point posts are an update on the game that I’m playing. I’ll be about my thoughts about the game after playing a couple of routes, will I continue playing, etc. And basically, if the game lives up to my first impression.
It is a long long road but now I’ve finally unlocked Rui and Hayato’s routes! For now, it is only Rui’s as you can see in the screenshot above. Still! Finally the locked routes.
With the airing of the Nil Admirari no Tenbin Teito Genwaku Kitan’s (god that’s such a mouthful www) anime, I figured why not play the game knowing that the anime won’t have the best art and have a leaner version of the story. I started playing but I didn’t read the synopsis. So I take one scene after another, eager to find out what will happen next. ヾ(。・ω・)シ

RE:VICE [D], PS Vita
Otomate
Yahuu~! I finally got the time to play RE:VICE [D]- Otomate’s first PS Vita (otome) game! On a side note, it is such a pain to write this game’s title lol. Also, I don’t get the meaning of the title at all. Even the [d]. There is an ending named REBIRTH[D]. And I just don’t have any idea of its meaning or if it means anything at all! If you know, please do enlighten me. Ww
When Ichikawa Kei named their manga Slow Starter, they weren’t joking about it having a slow start. But it is the kind of slow burn I loved.
