[First Impressions] Splatoon 2

Splatoon 2

Before, I was so set on getting a red and blue joycons for my switch. But then, I would have to buy a separate game to be able to use my console. Buying means an additional $56 on my budget. A friend of mine recommended that the cheaper way to buy a console was to get a bundle. Now the bundles available are Splatoon 2 and Mario Odyssey. I watched Hikakin’s playthrough of the Odyssey first and I wasn’t quite sure I’d like it. Then, I watched Splatoon 2 playthroughs and instantly fell in love. Who wouldn’t love inking areas to your heart’s content? Besides, Splatoon 2 reminds me of one of my favorite game on the Nintendo DS back in the days. I don’t know if any of you knows it, but the title is de Blob. Splatoon 2 seemed like a more fab and kickass version of de Blob.

Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds – Heisuke, Sano, Shinpachi

Hakuoki Kyoto Winds Heisuke Sano Shinpachi

Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds contains 12 guys that you can go after.  This is probably the only game that I’ve played that has that much character in it. Thank goodness, you can only play half of their routes in this game (the story continues in Edo Blossoms). Somehow, I can understand why Otomate decided to split the story in half – and it’s not just about money (maaaaaaybe about 5% is not about it www). Imagine playing 12 full routes. It’ll take me half a year to finish it lol.

But still, cutting the story just when things are finally picking up in each route?  WHATщ(゚Д゚щ)

May contain spoilers so proceed with caution!

[Scribbles] I Switched!

I know the title’s lame (haha) BUT I got myself a Nintendo Switch!

nintendo switch

Earlier this year, I was debating with myself whether I should get a PS4 or a Nintendo Switch. There were nice games on both consoles but I was leaning towards PS4 *coughcheapercough*. Then Otomate announced the “switch” to Switch and that pretty much nailed my decision to get it.

[Manga] Jose Rizal Manga

jose riza

About a week ago, it has been featured on the different news agency about a manga that features my country’s national hero, Jose Rizal. Here’s the summary as taken from MANGA.CLUB website:

In the land now known as the Philippines, there was a time when colonial Spain ruled for more than 300 years. During a period when native Filipinos once called Indios were oppressed, exploited, and stripped of their human rights, Jose Rizal was born on the outskirts of Manila.

“What does it mean to be a Filipino?”
“Is it possible to incite change through knowledge and not violence?”
He thought of those every day.

A doctor, novelist, and a painter who can speak 15 languages, Jose Rizal is a legendary figure who brought about national revolution through one epic novel!

Heya! So lately, I’ve been playing 7’scarlet. It is an otome game with a tinge of mystery. While the game is pretty short, it doesn’t cut out on surprises.

The Gist

One year after the disappearance of her brother, Ichiko got invited by her childhood friend, Hino, to travel to Okunezato where the members of Okunezato Kinki Club meet up. This club is formed through a website, bringing in people who are interested in the mysteries of Okunezato – the same town where Ichiko’s brother disappeared to. Days after their arrival, mysterious events keep on happening one after another.
